The Chamber of Food Industries (CFI)

The Chamber of Food Industries (CFI) is a non-profit organization established in 1958 under the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) umbrella. CFI is the official representative of the Egyptian 

Food Industry, with a member base of more than 27000 companies. It represents the processed food 

& beverage industry before the GOE and works towards solving and developing every aspect of the business environment that may affect the industry’s competitiveness domestically and globally. 


Dr. ABDELGALIL Graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture (Department of Food Science and Technology) in 1990. His main background is in Food Safety, Food Hygiene, Quality Control, Public Health, Legislation, Standards Specifications, Food Technology, Food Microbiology & Nutrition, .etc. 


Dr. ABDELGALIL joined the Chamber of Food Industries in 1992 and has since held several 

different responsibilities within the chamber. In 2002, he got his Doctorate in Public Health Science (Food Hygiene and Food Control), besides many national and international positions, like Jeddah Governorate Municipality—Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—Food Hygiene & Food Control Expert "2007." 

He was appointed as Chairman of the Technical Administration Sector in July 2011. In 2018 he was appointed as the General Manager of Technical Affairs. 


Dr. ABDELGALIL is the representative of Egypt in meetings of the International Dairy Federation 

IDF & at the World Dairy Summit WDS organized by the federation annually since 2008. He is also a member of several international food standards issuing committees (CODEX) and African and Arab Standards Development Committees. 


Dr. ABDELGALIL is a highly qualified professional in the field of Food Safety & Quality and Food processing procedures according to the main international standards and requirements. He participated in and directed many projects in the field of risk assessment, HACCP & ISO 22000. He expert in the key requirements and legislation and has strong relationships with consumers, customers, and representatives of government regulators in the food sector, he also attended 

several training courses, in Food Safety at the University of Ohio, USA. 


Dr. ABDELGALIL is a certified "Lead Auditor and Instructors & Assessor (RABQSA) for ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems & ISO 9001 Quality Management System" " registered by the Auditor Evaluation Panel of TQCS International Pty Ltd. He is also a highly qualified professional 

trainer in many fields such as Food Safety and Quality.
