Maltol is white to yellowish needle like crystal or crystalline powder. It is naturally found in roasted malt and pine needles. It has the special aroma of burnt cream sugar and strawberry flavor in the diluent. Most of maltol in Jingda perfume is prepared by chemical synthesis and mainly used as flavor enhancer. It is found in the bark of Larch needles and in roasted malt.
