What finalists and winners receive

  • Winners will receive a trophy presented on stage during the awards ceremony.
  • Both winners and finalists will be featured on the official website, press release and social media.
  • Both winners and finalists can display “Finalist” or “Winner” stickers, provided by us, at their stand onsite.
  • Both winners and finalists can utilise customised graphics, saying ‘I am a winner/finalist’, provided by us, for email signature and social media.

The Fi Europe Innovation Awards recognise the brilliance of the sector across the following categories:

This award recognises an organisation or company that has developed the best alternative protein ingredient (e.g. from a plant, fungal, algal, microbial, insect source), or an application based on an alternative protein ingredient, with respect to sensory and functional quality, bioavailability, and/or application costs. Preference will be given to those innovations introduced in the last 2 years.

This award recognises an organisation or company that has developed the best plant-based dairy alternative ingredient, or application based on a plant-based dairy alternative ingredient, in terms of sensory and physical properties or application costs. Preference will be given to those innovations introduced in the last 2 years.

This award recognises an organisation or company for creating a work environment that offers equal opportunities for all employees, irrespective of their gender, race, religious background, sexual orientation, and physical or mental ability. Preference will be given to practices introduced/significantly improved within the last 2 years.

*This award is open to both exhibiting and non-exhibiting companies, organisations and associations.

This award recognises an organisation or company that has developed innovative food manufacturing or packaging equipment that improves manufacturing efficiency, reduces waste and/or enhances product safety. Preference will be given to those innovations introduced in the last 2 years.

This award recognises an organisation or company that has developed an innovative processing or bioprocessing technology solution or service, including the application of artificial intelligence, 3D printing or robotics, which has the potential to improve the production, the functionality, sensory properties and/or cost of food ingredients. Preference will be given to those innovations introduced in the last 2 years.

This award recognises an organisation or company for the development of the best ingredient, application, and/or service in terms of proven contribution to gut, immune, cognitive, emotional or physical health. Preference will be given to those innovations introduced in the last 2 years.

This award recognises an organisation or company that has developed the best ingredient or application specifically for the pet food and nutrition category, in terms of sensory and physical properties or application costs. Preference will be given to those innovations introduced in the last 2 years.

This award recognises an organisation or company that has developed the best plant-based ingredient, or application based on a plant-based ingredient, in terms of sensory and physical properties or application costs. Preference will be given to those innovations introduced within the last 2 years.

This award recognises an organisation or company for a measurable supply system that demonstrates environmental, economic and/or socially sustainable practices in the F&B industry. Preference will be given to those innovations introduced in the last 2 years.
