Our Commitment to Sustainability

Shaping the Food & Health Industry for a sustainable future

Sustainability is of increasing importance to all industries. At Informa, sustainability is central to how we run out events, how we make decisions and how we do business on a daily basis. Every year we aim to make the event more sustainable and to encourage our visitors and exhibitors to improve their sustainability efforts to continue to improve the industry.

  • Measuring our impacts

Our sustainable efforts for 2020

Each edition we look at ways to improve the sustainability of our events, based on the above three principles. Below is a selection of the initiatives that we have taken to improve our impact

Help our markets through inspiring sustainable development

  • This year in the Content Innovation Hub we will address the topic of sustainability, using examples of businesses leading the way in the industry
  • The various forums and conferences provide insights into most recent industry trends
  • This year, for the first time, we will launch a new Plant Based Forum together with ProVeg, to provide insights into the trend that is beginning to make grounds in China

Run the event in an increasingly environmentally responsible manner

  • Efficient LED lighting will be applied to all shell-scheme designs and feature areas
  • Airconditioning will be turned off on all build up days

Run the event in a socially responsible manner

  • Choosing local suppliers in the vicinity of the venue, and working with local hotels to encourage people to stay in close proximity to the venue
  • All exhibitors have to sign and follow our health and safety guidelines
  • A number of new health and safety measures introduced onsite in light of Covid-19
  • Added additional seating areas onsite for attendees to relax

How can you support sustainability

We are working with exhibitors, event partners and attendees to make Hi & Fi Asia-China a sustainable event. As part of this plan, we have developed suggestions and tips for both exhibitors and visitors.
