ICL Food Specialties is a Global leader in providing ingredient systems that deliver texture and stability to food and beverage products. Guided by a thorough understanding of the unique needs of our customers and the challenges of the industry, we deliver tailored formulations that optimize the texture and sensory experience. We understand the global trends that inspire food and beverage product developments, and our ingredients enable these innovations.

What will you be showcasing this year at Fi South America?

We will be showcasing some vegan and vegetarian meat alternatives, as well as stabilizing systems for high-protein beverages.

What do you think are the biggest trends / challenges / developments in the industry now? (Both in general and specifically in the South American market)

Alternative proteins, clean label, and sodium reduction seem to be some of the driving trends. Our application specialists help manufacturers select the right ingredients early on to help bring innovations to the market more quickly.

Who are you mostly interested in meeting at Fi South America 2019?

We are interested in meeting any new or existing customers who may have a need for our functional ingredient solutions. Solving formulation challenges and creating product successes is what we excel at.



What do you feel is the biggest benefit of exhibiting?

The biggest benefit of exhibiting is our ability to reach new and existing customers in one place – Fi South America is a great place to learn and grow.

What are your general objectives when it comes to exhibiting? (i.e. brand awareness, meet with clients, ….), and do you achieve them at Fi South America?

Our general objective is to meet our clients and expand our brand awareness to reach new customers.

Why the Brazilian market?

We see a lot of opportunity for growth in the Brazilian market, especially in the meat, poultry, seafood and dairy markets.

What do you feel are the biggest challenges in this region? For instance, regulatory hurdles and cultural differences.

As with any region, there are distinct nuances that must be considered in formulations and innovations, including taste, texture and processing challenges as consumer preferences are constantly changing. We help solve challenges to accelerate product innovations.

We have been exhibiting at Fi South America for over five years.

ICL Food Specialties exhibits at many global trade show events, including major events such as The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and Supply Side West in the US, Food Ingredients China, Food Ingredients Europe, Gulfoods in Dubai, and many other regional events around the world.
