Following graduation with a diploma from a Swiss business school worked 3 years in the UK for an import / export company.
Started in 1981 with Roche Vitamins in Basel Switzerland in various roles as product manager and manager of an Emerging Markets Region. 2003 Roche Vitamins was sold to Dutch DSM where he created the Nutrition Improvement Program for DSM, a Corporate Social Responsibility program aiming to fight malnutrition via food fortification. The Nutrition Improvement Program was awarded the Business for Development Award by the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York in 2010. During this time public private partnerships between DSM and the World Food Program WFP and the Amsterdam Initiative against Malnutrition AIM were established.
Moved to Singapore in 2013 to manage the Asian business for Glanbia Nutritionals, an Irish dairy company.
From 2016 accepted a positon as Policy Director in Food Industry Asia, an Industry association covering the multinational food industries interests in Asia. He is responsible there for ARoFIIN, the Asian Roundtable on Food Innovation for improved Nutrition, a public private partnership between government, non-government, industry and academia to discuss solutions for obesity and malnutrition in Asia.
Dr Siti Noorbaiyah Binti Abdul Malek commenced work at the Food Industry Asia (FIA) since October 2014. Starting October 2016, she is fully seconded to, and oversees the work of, the ASEAN Food & Beverage Alliance (AFBA) as its Executive Director.
Dr Siti holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Food Science from Rutgers University, New Jersey; Master’s in Food Science degree from the Michigan State University; and BSc from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul; all in the United States of America.
She is married with three children.
Nurmia Agustina is a Principal Consultant at Cekindo, focusing on Market Entry Strategy as well as Legal Incorporation of Indonesian entities. Prior to joining Cekindo, she was involved at Czech.Ina Group Ltd., assisting European companies in their expansion to Indonesia. Agustina holds the position of honorary vice president for the Asian market in the Portuguese Association Expandia. She started her career as a management consultant at Accenture, a global management consulting company, where she had exposure to various functions and industries.
Agustina has vast experience in the areas of legality and corporate law, business consulting, market research and entry strategy, sales and distribution, talent management strategy, recruitment, project and event management, visas and work permits, and change management.
She has been involved in various industries, namely energy and resources, telecommunications, retail, healthcare and medical devices, financial services, non-profits, and heavy industries.
Elizabeth Bui is currently the Nutrition and Health Business Unit Director at Naturex. She built up her expertise in healthcare starting her career with Sanofi Singapore Pharmaceutical and moved quickly towards a broader geographical market covering Asiapac, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and then France, managing blockbusters in the cardiovascular health category. She then began working as a consultant for a dietary supplement brand based in France, where she extended her marketing expertise to natural solutions for health and wellness.
For over 3 years, she has been working for Naturex, the leader and expert in botanical extraction, building further skills in the B2B market and leading strategical innovation projects for the Nutrition and Health Category.
Anders is a Principal Application Specialist at DuPont Nutrition & Health in Australia, supporting DuPont products and research projects in Dairy, Health and Nutrition throughout the Asia Pacific region including India.
Anders joined Danisco in 2008, as a Senior Scientist based in Singapore, where he led several development projects related to culture formulations for dairy and dietary supplement products. Prior to that, Dr. Anders has held positions as scientist and senior scientist with a major international food ingredients organization, based in Australia, where he was involved in culture development and pre-clinical and clinical studies on probiotics and prebiotics.
Anders graduated with a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden in 1993. He then proceeded with post-doctoral research at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, in the field of gastrointestinal microbiology, probiotics and prebiotics.
Anders has published over 40 scientific papers and book chapters, and is the inventor on several patents.
Stefanus Indrayana graduated from Bogor Agricultural University, Majoring in Food Technology and Nutrition in 1985 and received an MBA from the Central Institute of Management Jakarta in 1989. He currently serves as the General Manager Corporate Communications at PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. Prior to this, he did a Corporate Communication assignment in Indofood and served as the General Manager of Central Marketing of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk until 2011. He spent his previous career mostly in FMCG and Consumer Electronics businesses, such as: Marketing Director of PT. Samsung Electronics Indonesia, Regional Director of Electrolux Asia, General Manager of PT. Philips Electronics Indonesia, Executive Director of Toshiba, PT. Topjaya Sarana Utama, Sales & Marketing Manager of PT. Tootal Thread Indonesia, Marketing Manager Colgate Palmolive & Consumer Goods of PT. Tempo Scan Pacific and as Production Head of Verkade Biscuits PT. Makindo Perdana Jakarta Indonesia in 1986.
Patrick Kalona is currently Director for Phytochemindo Reksa, a herbal extraction and manufacturing company. For thirteen years he studied and worked in the UK. He finished his university in the London School of Economics and later starting a career in the Financial sector working in banks such as the Royal Bank of Scotland and Deutsche Bank in London.
Subsequently he returned to Indonesia in early 2011. By the middle of 2012 Patrick was elected as the youngest Chairman of Indonesia’ s Health supplement association (APSKI) and later elected also as Vice Chairman of the AAHSA (Asean Health Supplement Alliance Association). Patrick continues to promote the benefits of Health supplements in ASEANs growing population and participates in regulatory discussions.

Regina has been at the forefront of nutrition for more than 30 years, bringing with her, a wide range of experience that include public health, food and nutrition policy; healthcare and research; business and program management; strategic planning and capacity building. She has brokered many noteworthy partnerships across the globe to harness cross-sector partnerships for nutrition outcomes, and has published widely on the economic and double burden of malnutrition, food quality and the role of micronutrients towards optimal nutrition. Regina is a steering committee member of the Asian Round Table of Food Innovation for Improved Nutrition, and is on the advisory board of the Rice Bowl Index that looks at food security robustness in Asia.
Karthik Narayan has over 12 years of consulting and market research experience across Indonesia, India and the Middle East. In addition, he has over 2 years experience in working with leading Indonesian food & beverage brands. His experience lies in motivation research techniques to understand the underlying drivers of choice for consumers. He has extensive experience of diverse researches on several food and beverage categories, such as sensory product evaluation, understanding driver for a specific product choice, studies on consumption and triggers.
Ms. Tanya Nguyen has a background in Food Science & Technology from Newcastle university, Australia. She has work experience with major infant manufacturers, holding various roles from QA, R&D, to Technical Application. As a mother of one, Tanya is passionate about infant formula and the vast possibilities of making infant formula closer to mother’s milk, to provide the alternative option whenever breast milk is not possible. Currently, Tanya provides technical expertise support to the FrieslandCampina Ingredients regional sales team in Singapore, and customers in South East Asia and Pacific region.
Avanthi Ravindran is a Senior Trend and Innovation Consultant for the South East Asia and India regions, joining Mintel in 2013. She specialises in customised consulting projects covering the spaces of new product development, trend analysis, competitor understanding and consumer insight. She is also involved in facilitating ideation sessions and presenting at trade shows and conferences.
Avanthi has over 10 years of experience across consumer research and brand consulting. Formerly, she worked with Millward Brown Singapore on customised quantitative research studies. Her areas of experience include copy testing, U&As, brand tracking, conjoint studies, segmentation analysis and concept testing.
Prior to Millward Brown, she worked with advertising and brand consulting firms in India and Singapore as Creative Designer, as well as in Brand Strategy development. Over the years she has worked with FMCG brands, hospitality brands, financial services and many others.
Avanthi holds a Masters degree in Advertising from R.M.I.T. University Melbourne, Australia, a certification in Market Research from the University of Georgia, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication from the University of Madras, India.
