Contribute to healthy and sustainable food by gathering up the benefits of nature and providing easy to use integrated solutions.

With such a mission, Cosucra plays an important role in improving the nutritional profile of the food offer.

From locally grown chicory and peas, more than 2000 food products references contain our naturally-sourced ingredients. These two plants contain clean label nutrients of exceptional quality, that Cosucra extracts in its state-of-the art facilities based on gentle aqueous process. The Chicory soluble fibre Fibruline®, the Pea protein isolate Pisane®, the Pea fibre Swelite® and the Pea starch Nastar® are clean label ingredients of reference in the health and nutrition market.

This year, with its corporate booth at Health Ingredient Europe exhibition in Frankfurt, Cosucra will highlight its Chicory soluble fibre Fibruline® and its Pea protein isolate Pisane®. The visitors will have the opportunity to taste these two naturally-sourced, clean label ingredients in four nutritional concepts:

  • Plant-based beverage enriched in proteins and fibers (Pisane® et Fibruline®)
  • Plant-based bar (Pisane®)
  • Dessert cream for seniors (Pisane® + Fibruline®)
  • Very high fiber biscuits for seniors (Fibruline® et Exafine®)

Fibruline® chicory root fibre is a soluble fibre derived from chicory roots grown in Western Belgium, a region with a rich agricultural tradition.  Totally invisible, tasteless and easy-to-process, this ingredient is used by food manufacturers worldwide to enrich their products with fibre and to reduce sugar and/or fibre content.

Fibruline® chicory root fibre is used in a broad range of market references, in areas such as dairy or bakery products, in confectionary, beverages as well as in products for particular nutritional uses such as infants or seniors. Fibruline® can play an important role in weight management diets and also support a low-glycaemic diet.
