Kefir Innovations; One of the Oldest Probiotics with Health Benefits

In May earlier this year SynbioTech won the Annual Probiotic Industry Innovation Product Award for their AB-Kefir Probiotics at the 13th International Symposium on Probiotics and Health. Organised by the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, this award recognised SynbioTech’s unique symbiotic fermentation technology, SYNTEK, which preserves metabolites and enhances lactic acid bacteria during the fermentation process.

Kefir is recognised as one of the oldest probiotic beverages with added health benefits. Wanting to harness these benefits and keep the good metabolites, SynbioTech isolated five strains from kefir and recombined them with fermentation products containing L. acidophilus and B. longum to create a powdered kefir product, AB-Kefir. The formula is proven to decrease constipation, abdominal pain and diarrhea, and is one of the many innovative products on offer from SynbioTech.

Part of the SYNBIO TECH group, SynbioTech specialise in the research, manufacture and application of probiotics such as lactic acid bacteria. Alongside kefir products, SynbioTech also produce prebiotics such as fermented milk powder and frozen yogurt powder, and DVS lactic acid bacteria.

SYNBIO TECH exhibited at Hi Japan 2018 where they focused on probiotics for healthcare needs.
