I had been looking for a dependable Internet Marketing opportunity where I wasn't going to get taken for a ride
. I found Wealthy Affiliate University and have been so impressed from Day One.
So I spent about two days researching the site, reading all of the tutorials, getting my head around Adwords and Yahoo Marketing. I decided that although I still didn't really understand what I was doing, I would start playing around and getting my feet wet. The easiest and quickest method for me (or so it seems after the various research) to get started was to direct market with Clikbank products.
I chose to go with High Gravity products, thinking that these were obviously the best way to get exposure. (I obviously later realized the correlation between exposure and cost!) I chose a book on Getting Adwords for Free and a Stock Robot Trading Newsletter with a one time activation fee. I then attempted to set advertisements on both Yahoo and Google.
I checked throughout the day and saw little traffic. I then pretty much forgot about it and wasn't feeling particularly positive about the whole thing. The next day I looked at about noon and saw that I had made my first sale. Wow, how did I actually do that, when I had no idea what I was doing??
That sale really spurred me on, thinking that I need to make around $100
a day for this to be feasible for me as a way of life, I saw that there was real hope there to make that. Since early this morning I have done nothing but 'play' with all of the tutorials and faq's and the metrics/analysis available on Yahoo and Adwords. I've now tweaked both campaigns, optimizing their budgets, optimizing the ads, analyzing keyword success.
Now all of the concepts that I had learned at WA, which I had decided to really consider as a university and me as the student, are starting to make sense. This site really does offer incredible direction, with the greatest resource being this forum.
